Morris County Public Resource Interactive Mapping Application (MCPRIMA)

1. Public Land Management

   The Public Land Management Theme of MCPRIMA focuses on an easy and secure interface for public land administrators to inventory and evaluate public lands, as well as offer a means of sharing this information with the public.

2. Morris County Tax Board Website

   MCPRIMA is being used through the Morris County Tax Board website through the Search Tax Records option. After searching tax records by property location, owner, block/lot, or prior block/lot, the search results will offer a GIS link. MCPRIMA's new architecture is featured here with simplified reporting/mapping including a 200' notification list (with pre-formatted labels), a simple map report, a MODIV Tax Record Report, SRIA reporting, and appeals reporting.

3. Heritage Commission Marker Inventory

   Since 1975, the Morris County Heritage Commission has placed markers at significant historic sites throughout the county. See the project that lists sites marked by the Heritage Commission with a locator map and photos.

4. Mountain Lakes Environmental Resource Inventory Website

   In April, 2010, the GIS Section developed a template for a GIS Web application as a pilot project for the Borough of Mountain Lakes. The County agreed to host an "Environmental Resources Inventory" (ERI) GIS Web application for the Borough of Mountain Lakes for a period of one year. This study was designed to test feasibility of sharing County hardware, software and staff resources with local agencies - to aide their efforts in making spatial data and analysis more accessible. As the project has come to completion, the County plans on drafting a shared service contract, that will provide guidelines to other municipalities wishing to solicit County assistance in their GIS based web application needs. 5. MCPRIMA 3.1 – Advanced Users

   MCPRIMA 3.1 is available to the public and does not require a login. This application features tax record data and mapping. This release provides faster maps, updated reports, simplified search tools, and advanced data mining.
